SOLVENT-FREE

WHAT ARE SOLVENT-FREE EXTRACTS?

A “solvent-free” product is also known as as a “distillate.” The terms refer to the process of distilling to refine a cannabis concentrate by separating the desired cannabis molecules from any possible contaminants

HOW DO YOU MAKE "DISTILLATE"?

Distillate is made through the use of a closed loop ethanol extraction device called the Source Turbo. This device is essentially a heated non stick vessel inside a vacuum chamber. In a vacuum ethanol evaporates at a much lower temperature, allowing for the evaporation to take place at a safe and effective temperature. The device is designed in such a way that as the ethanol evaporates, it cools and condenses on the lid and sides of the device, seperating it from the concentrate and allowing for the ethanol to be completly purged and collected to be re-used for future extractions.

WHY IS DISTILLATE SO ATTRACTIVE?

Distillate and solvent-free extracts have gained much popularity in the past few years mainly due to the level of refinement these products go through as well as its versitility. Several rounds of filtering or "winterization" must take place to seperate all undesireable particles as well as plant fats and waxes which may decrease the quality and taste of your concentrates, especially when incorperated into vape cartrages. What is left is an extremely potent concentrate free of any particulates, fats, waxes, or residues, making them perfect for vape cartrages.
